Director General of FSUE Atomflot to be replaced
The new nomination is currently undergoing approval.
19 September 2024Leonid Irlitsa, Director General of FSUE Atomflot (Murmansk, part of Rosatom), will leave his position due to retirement, as reported by the company's press service to Interfax.
'FSUE Atomflot will be headed by Yakov Antonov. Currently, his candidacy is undergoing the necessary approval procedures,' said the agency's source.
'It is expected that until the formalities regarding his appointment are completed, he will work as the Deputy Director General—Director for Navigation,' he added.
According to the SPARK-Interfax analytical system, on 18 September, Atomflot applied for amendments to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, including amendments to its constituent documents. The documents will be ready by 26 September.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Antonov has been the head of JSC Northern Shipping Company (Arkhangelsk) since 2017.
Irlitsa has been CEO of Atomflot since 2022. Previously, he held the position of First Deputy Director General—Director for Navigation of Atomflot. Since 1992, he worked on nuclear icebreakers, became the captain of the nuclear vessel Vaygach in 2015, and served as an advisor to the Director General of Atomflot from 2018, overseeing the development of the automated control system for the Maritime Operations Headquarters.
