The first application from Yakutia for the status of a resident of the Arctic zone was approved

The Ministry of the Russian Federation for the development of the Far East and the Arctic approved the first application of a Yakut company to obtain the status of a resident of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, according to the telegram channel of the government of Yakutia.

"An application has been approved for concluding an agreement on investment activities in the Arctic zone with “Yanolovo“ JSC. The investment project of “Yanolovo “ JSC involves tin production at the Ruchey Tirekhtyakh placer Deposit in the Ust-Yansky district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) with a capacity of up to 600 tons of tin per year," the report says.

It is noted that the investor plans to attract at least 780 million rubles of investment and create 80 new jobs. Commissioning is scheduled for 2021.

It “will speed up the implementation of an investment project for tin mining”. The project is supported by the Agency for investment attraction and export support of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), " the report says.
