Arctic zone resident plans to launch Norilsk's first special equipment cleaning facility
The entrepreneur aims to begin land plot registration and construction work in 2025.
18 October 2024A new individual entrepreneur resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation plans to launch Norilsk's first specialised service for heavy-duty vehicles by 2026. The facility will cater to vehicles used in the city and the Norilsk Industrial District, Interfax reports.
The corporation explains that Norilsk heavily relies on freight transport due to various ongoing projects, including the city's comprehensive development plan. Additionally, machinery is extensively used in the Norilsk Industrial District for transporting concrete, cement and other construction materials for commercial organisations. The project's estimated investment is RUB 78 mn.
'Currently, there's no specialised service for heavy-duty vehicles in the city, forcing organisations and individual entrepreneurs to maintain their vehicles themselves. This not only violates environmental standards but is also quite challenging in the Far North,' says Pavel Panchenko, head of the individual enterprise, as quoted by the Yenisei Siberia Corporation's press service.
