Organisers of the VII Teriberka Arctic Festival presented the business and cultural programme of the event, which will be held 16–17 July 2022 in the framework of the plan of Russian chairmanship in the Arctic Council in 2021–2023.

'Holding major forums and festivals in the Arctic allows a wide range of experts and residents of the North to be involved in the discussion of current topics on the Arctic agenda. Such events are important for the development of event-related tourism services and the popularisation of the key tourist attractions of our Arctic territories,' said Aleksey Chekunkov, Head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic.

The business programme of the festival includes four sessions dedicated to different areas of tourism, as well as Arctic cuisine. During the discussion titled 'Ecological tourism — the basis of sustainable development of the region,' the participants will debate the best practices of ecotourism in the Russian regions, while speakers of the Tourism for the locals session will assess ways to involve citizens in the creation of tourist products. In addition, experts will also develop common standards for the organisation of tourist activities during the Events as the purpose of travel session, as well as present best practices of the Arctic Cuisine project in the Murmansk Region.

During the festival, the Committee of Tourism of the Murmansk Region will hold travel exhibition titled 'MURMANSK.TRAVEL Market,' where more than 15 representatives of the industry will tell visitors about the directions of the weekend trips, and the Russian Post will organise an on-site station for sending free postcards.

In addition, guests of the festival will be able to get acquainted with the cuisine of northern territories during the Taste of the Arctic gastronomic festival, while 13 musical performers and bands perform on the main stage of the festival. Excursions, master classes, entertainment and cultural events are also waiting for all guests.

Teriberka Arctic Festival will be held for the seventh time. In 2021, it was attended by over 5,000 participants from 27 regions of Russia.
