In late April, the XVIII Festival of children's and youth theatrical productions in the Sami language, Moainas Lannes (Fairytale City), was held in the Murmansk Region. The event took place at the Harmony Municipal House of Culture in the Molochny settlement. The Project Office for Arctic Development (POAD) writes about it.

Every year, the festival brings together talented children and young people interested in learning about the Sami language and culture. Participants in this year's festival included representatives of educational institutions, creative associations and author and national folklore groups from Murmansk, Severomorsk, Molochny, as well as the Lovozersky and Kovdorsky districts.

Festival guests were immersed in the unique creative atmosphere of the theatrical productions. For the first time this year, the festival established the category 'Tale to the rhythms of the Sami tambourine,' in which participants presented a theatrical and choreographic production and demonstrated their acting and dancing talents.
