A Photo Exhibition About the Life of Indigenous Peoples of the North Opens in Moscow

From 1 March to 15 April 2022, the Severnoye Tushino park in Moscow will host a photo exhibition dedicated to the project Children of the Arctic. The images installed in the park's central square tell about the life of indigenous peoples of the North.

The photo exhibition features materials collected by the project team during the work on the informational and educational portal DetiArktiki.RF. The colorful pictures were taken in different parts of the Russian North, from Karelia to Chukotka. The photo exhibition will introduce Moscow residents and guests to the culture of 15 indigenous peoples of the North who inhabit the Arctic regions of Russia. The project tells about such bearers of unique languages and cultures as the Veps, Sami, Nenets, Khanty, Dolgans, Enets, Nganasans, Yukaghirs, Evens, Selkups, Evenki, Itelmens, Koryaks, Chukchi, and Inuit. The exhibition will be open for a month and a half. Admission is free.
